Always the best! Started with one hygienist regularly since I was a child, but eventually was booked in with other hygienists which made me nervous initially, but they are all amazing! Dr Phan is the best, very nice guy and has such good memory of all his patients even only after short visits! Never had a bad experience at progressive and the ladies at the desk are also very welcoming and friendly! No need to be scared of the dentist if you go here!!

Progressive Dental is a special place to deal with your dental needs. Dor William Schoulze is humane and made me feel comfortable after many failures with other dentists; he provides details and is an excellent dentist. Dental Hygienes such as Arlana are incredible, passionate, clean and advise with excellence. I appreciate how they make me feel well before and after. In addition, they receive, communicate, and share information like a charm.

I'm glad I switched to Dr. Phan years ago. Dr. Phan and his team always provide great care. Today was probably the most gentle yet effective cleaning that I have ever had. Also, I never feel price gouged by Dr. Phan, as I sometimes have with other dentists. Finally, I appreciate how Dr. Phan contributes to the community by supporting the Alex's dental program for vulnerable children. Thanks Team Phan!

They are always amazing and have been caring for everyone in my family for over 7 years. They give attention to individual needs, are gentle with my little kids, and guarantee a pleasant visit each time. We even had a late night dental emergency once and they were immediate to meet us, after closing, to take care of the injury. Highly recommend! We'll always be coming here.

Dr. Phan is an excellent dentist. He was able to provide a temporary solution to the issue I was having, so I can now proceed with my eye surgery next week without worrying about complications with my teeth. My family have been going to Progressive Dental since the 1980s.

Dr Robert Phan

General Dentist

Dr. Robert Phan, who is originally from Vietnam and emigrated to Edmonton, joined Progressive Dental in 1998. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1998.

Robert has been an invaluable addition to the Progressive Dental and even though he grew up in Edmonton, he is now proud to call himself a Calgarian and is actively involved in the local community.

Robert believes in creating and maintaining healthy smiles, and his philosophy of dentistry is to provide each of his patients with the healthy smile and dental health they deserve. Robert enjoys working with the entire Progressive Dental team and finds that dentistry is immensely satisfying.

He continues to enjoy practicing dentistry, and he looks forward to working with his existing patients--and to meeting the new ones that will cross his path.
Dr Yazen Al-badran

General Dentist

Dr. Yazen Al-badran was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Inspired by a passion for improving smiles and enhancing confidence, he pursued dentistry as a lifelong calling. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Sydney, where he established a strong foundation in both restorative and aesthetic dentistry.

Following his return to Canada, Dr. Al-badran has built a career distinguished by precision, compassion, and a dedication to advanced, modern dental care. He has completed advanced training with the California Implant Institute and currently holds the Fellow with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI).

As an Invisalign ® Silver Provider, Dr. Al-badran integrates clear aligner therapy into his practice, helping patients achieve beautiful, functional smiles. He is also passionate about dental photography, using it not only as a clinical tool but as a way to meticulously design and celebrate each transformation. By staying current with the latest research and innovations, he ensures his patients benefit from dentistry at its highest standard.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Al-badran is a dedicated marathon runner and avid cyclist, pursuits that reflect the same discipline, endurance, and focus he brings to his practice.
